  • doctrinal statement

Jesus We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s eternal Son. He is true God and true man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. We believe in His sinless life, His substitutionary atonement, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, His priestly intercession on behalf of His people, and His personal, visible, pre-millennial return from heaven.

God  We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit; perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

Holy Spirit We believe the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity and is fully God. He regenerates, baptizes into the body of Christ, indwells every believer, guides and empowers believers, and gives gifts to all believers for the strengthening of the church.

Scripture We believe the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, inerrant, complete as a revelation of God’s nature and character, and the supreme and final authority in faith and life.

Salvation We believe in salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. We further believe that salvation was purchased by Christ on the cross, and is received by man through faith alone. Salvation results in righteous living, good works, and proper social concern.

Eternal Security   Those whom God has accepted in Christ, and sanctified by His Spirit, will never fall away from the state of grace, but shall persevere to the end. Believers may fall into sin through neglect and temptation, whereby they grieve the Spirit, impair their graces and comforts, and bring reproach on the cause of Christ and temporal judgments on themselves; yet they shall be kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation.
